Gender Reveal

We all needed to know what the Mommy and Daddy- to - be were going to have so a Gender Revel was the next party up!

According to Old Wives Tales baby should be a BOY.

WHAT WILL BABY BEE?

I guess this pic doesn't show the PINK cake, but it sure does show surprise and happiness.

Destiny's Baby Shower

This baby shower was all about new baby GIRL on her way (2 years ago already)!  We loved all the pink and gold details that were brought out in this elegant shower.
The backdrop was simply some folded paper garland bought on Amazon.  It really dressed up the wall for a small price.

Wood look paper was used to cover up an old board and also was used around the vases and diaper cake stand.
Everyone took a guess at when she would arrive.

Pink and gold napkins and straws.  Wood silverware.  Natural colored plates.  Every little detail is important.
 Desserts!
Wishes for Baby.
 The Mommy-to-Be and her sisters.
Beautiful Nori Rose was born a few months later.

Lynette's SURPRISE 60th Birthday

We had the JOY of planning and surprising my sister for her 60th Birthday this weekend.  She LOVES, I mean, really LOVES Medora...so what better theme to do then Medora?? Right! :)
As you can see from the pics we tried to throw all the Medora we could into this party right down to the meal which was Steak, Baked Potates, Baked Beans, Coleslaw, Garlic Toast, Brownies and Donuts.  The Medora foundation was super helpful in donating a bunch of the Medora advertising.
Chalkboard sign was made by a friend of Billie Jo's. She did a wonderful job.
Thanks to Billie Jo, Destiny, Mom and Maci for helping with this FUN party!

Glass vases were simply painted inside to add some beautiful blue color.  Flowers were arranged Billie Jo. Invite was free from https://www.greetingsisland.com/

Ice cream buffet by Destiny.  We had chocolate and vanilla ice cream.
Yummy brownies and donuts!
  Taffy from Medora, of course!
Lots of yummy snacks.

I bought a $6 pack of photo props from Hobby Lobby.
They were a hit!
Medora sign on window is simply pieces of white paper tapped together and cut where needed to spell out the signature sign at the Medora Musical.
 The BIRTHDAY GIRL...60 years!
Wooden utensils inserted in bags, Buffalo napkins from Amazon.

Tablecloths were actually plastic backdrop from Amazon and I highly recommend these!  They are much stronger/thicker than the normal plastic tablecloths you buy at the party store, AND in the long run they are cheaper as they are very re-usable.
Party location was my Brother and Sister-In-Laws building
Lincoln & 9 in Harvey.

I still party.

It's been a LONG time...
like 6 years since my last post about my parties.
I always say "I used to do parties", but the truth is  I STILL do them, just not as often. When Amy and I both got married and she moved away I sort got busy with new changes so parties were put aside for awhile.
I plan to start posting about some of the work I've done in the last 6 years and we'll just go from there. :)
It's nice for me to look back over the years and see what all has happened too.

It's very rewarding to put something special together and know that you've made someone else feel very loved and special.
I'm ok with that. :)
It's worth every bit of time and money put into it.
So let's party....

keep checking for those posts to come.
